Request a one-off repair

When a dryer starts needing two cycles, the duct is usually the reason. Lint accumulates along the whole run and packs hardest at the elbows and the exterior hood, where a stuck damper traps everything behind it. We clear the run end to end, check that the exterior flap opens freely, and replace the crushed foil transition hose behind the machine if that is what is choking the airflow.

What the visit covers

  • Full duct run brushed and vacuumed from both ends
  • Exterior vent hood and damper cleared and checked for free movement
  • Crushed or kinked transition hose replaced with rigid or semi-rigid duct
  • Airflow confirmed at the exterior after cleaning
  • Dryer pulled out and reseated

Questions about dryer vent cleaning

Clothes taking more than one cycle, a hot laundry room, or a burning smell during a cycle are the usual signs. A visible lint mat at the exterior hood is a certainty.

Annually is a reasonable interval for a typical household; more often with a long duct run or heavy use.

Ground and eave-level exterior terminations are routine. Tell us if yours exits through the roof and we will confirm access before booking.
